Sam Fertitta

I joined the Edgemont team in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, I spent seven years in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Wells Fargo Securities, where I focused on serving clients in the pharmaceutical services, healthcare distribution, and healthcare technology sectors. In that role, I provided clients with mergers & acquisitions and related strategic advisory services, and I assisted clients with raising capital to finance their organic and strategic initiatives in the equity and debt capital markets. Prior to Wells Fargo Securities, I spent seven years at J.P. Morgan providing corporate and investment banking services to clients in the technology industry across a broad range of sectors including enterprise software, digital media, semiconductors, and IT services. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University. I hold Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses.

After spending 14 years of my career at two large universal banks, I joined Edgemont because I decided what I enjoy most about my profession is supporting clients with intellectual capital and strategic advice. Collaborating closely with entrepreneurs, management teams, and boards to support their strategic objectives is one of the great joys of this profession. This may entail assessing the industry landscape, evaluating a specific opportunity that has presented itself, orchestrating a sale process, or providing thoughtful analysis and insight to help resolve a specific corporate finance challenge. It is extremely rewarding to help my clients achieve successful outcomes and it has enabled me to develop a network of lasting professional relationships.

I have always believed that having the privilege to provide advice comes with deep obligations. An unwavering commitment to remain objective and unbiased is paramount.  Breadth and depth of industry knowledge are also critical and require a long-term commitment to learning. I am incredibly passionate about the healthcare industry, and I am continually moved by the energy, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurialism of healthcare stakeholders as they strive to enhance all aspects of healthcare access, standards of care, and affordability. It is my privilege to work with a broad range of dynamic clients, from market leaders to emerging companies, across several rapidly evolving healthcare sectors.

When I’m not wearing our team’s jersey, my family garners the overwhelming majority of my attention. I was fortunate to meet my wife more than 16 years ago and we have two remarkable, active children – a daughter and a son. When I do have free time, I enjoy being outdoors. I am passionate about fitness and enjoy golf, cycling and swimming.
